Virgo season asked you to look closely — to check the details, refine what you’d built, get the small things right. Now the Sun crosses into Libra, and the question changes completely. Libra doesn’t ask whether the details are correct. It asks whether you can hold two opposing things in your two hands at once without letting go of either one.
Popular astrology treats Libra as the sign of romance and relationships, full stop. That’s only half the story, and it’s the easier half. Libra’s real work is serenity — the mind gaining actual, hard-won control over the nervous system, so that nothing external is able to shatter your inner equilibrium. Relationship is part of that (Libra genuinely is “half of something,” and the question of partnership sits close to its core) — but the deeper aim is a kind of unbreakable inner harmony that has nothing to do with whether anyone else is even in the room. Hurts come. Hurts go. Joy and sorrow spin like night and day. Libra’s task is to stand at the center of that carousel, aware, and stay unmoved.
That’s simple to say and famously hard to do. This season opens by naming that goal outright, on the equinox itself. Everything that follows over the next few weeks — a retrograde here, an opposition there — is where that goal actually gets tested.
September 22: Sun Enters Libra, Season Opens

This year the Sun’s entry into Libra lands exactly on the Equinox — day and night in perfect balance, which makes it a fitting moment for a sign whose whole evolutionary aim is balance of a much harder kind. A few real places to look, rather than a vague “bring your life into balance”:
Notice where you’re weighing everyone else’s comfort and forgetting to weigh your own. This is Libra’s most familiar trap — getting so careful about keeping the peace in a relationship that you quietly lose your own peace in the process. Compromise the small stuff. Never compromise what you actually need.
Treat your physical environment as a real nervous-system practice, not decoration. Libra genuinely calms down when what’s around it is calm — sound, scent, the literal shape of a room. This is a good season to lean into anything that works with the body’s stress response directly.
Notice when you’re letting old hurts write the story of what’s coming. Libra’s evolutionary goal isn’t the absence of pain, it’s staying unmoved by it — not carrying yesterday’s wound into tomorrow’s expectation.
Practice holding two people’s truths at once without needing to pick a side. This is Libra’s real gift, and it’s what makes it good at negotiation, mediation, and seeing what everyone else in the room is missing.
Who feels this most: Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn placements — the cardinal group. If you’re a Libra placement, this is your season opening, and it will likely feel personal rather than atmospheric.
Who feels this least: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius placements. Expect this to register as background weather more than a direct personal assignment.
September 26: Full Moon in Aries

Aries is the boldness, the individuality, the raw fuel to initiate — Aries doesn’t ask permission and doesn’t wait to feel ready. But look at where Aries’s ruler is sitting: Mars, at the very last degree of Cancer, about to cross into Leo within a day. That’s Mars at its weakest here — not a struggling attempt that fell short, but something that never really got engaged with in the first place. Mars doesn’t feel comfortable in that seat, and it pushes us to look inward — into the things we’ve been avoiding within ourselves, our own inner truths.
A Full Moon is illumination — a spotlight on whatever’s been quietly building beneath the surface, the opposite of everything a New Moon keeps hidden. In Aries, that spotlight lands on the things you’ve let go of or been too afraid to deal with — a goal you set aside, a truth you’ve avoided facing. This Full Moon asks you to actually look at it clearly, maybe for the first time in a while. Mars being this uncomfortable here doesn’t mean nothing can move — it means the moving doesn’t happen automatically. You have to deliberately tap into Aries’s raw courage to pull whatever’s stuck out of stuck mode and into whatever comes next.
Who feels this most: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn placements.
Who feels this least: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius placements.
September 27: Mars Enters Leo

Powerful Mars enters Leo, bringing its raw force into contact with Leo’s natural self-expression, and that changes the whole tone. Normally Leo’s approach is an invitation — “here’s what I made, what do you think?” Put Mars’s warrior energy behind it, and it turns into something a lot more insistent: “you must look at what I did and give me your opinion, or I’m going to punch you in the face.” Mars also supplies something Leo’s own strategy needs but often can’t reach alone — the nerve to actually release the work into the world instead of getting stuck wondering whether people will like it.
As Leo comes, so comes its ruler — the Sun, currently sitting in Libra, same as the season itself. Everything we opened this whole piece with is what the Sun brings to the table here. And what that does is temper the aggression in that Mars energy, without erasing the drive underneath it: you’re still going to insist people pay attention to what you made, you just don’t have to threaten to punch anyone in the face to make it happen.
Mars is powerful, and it brings an urgency to the table that the Sun doesn’t have on its own — a need for action. Mars’s urgency in this placement isn’t “stop hiding from yourself.” It’s “stop editing yourself for other people’s comfort, and put the work out anyway.”
Who feels this most: Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius placements — the fixed group.
Who feels this least: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn placements.
September 30: Mercury Enters Scorpio

Scorpio’s evolutionary aim is truth — especially when it comes to the taboo issues of life: sex, death, the occult, all of it. Scorpio is famous for not tempering that truthfulness, for telling things exactly as they are, and that sting is the point: breaking taboos, both the private ones we keep from ourselves and the social ones we keep from each other, is Scorpio’s essence and territory. It’s where Scorpio thrives.
Scorpio rules through two planets. Mars — now settled into Leo — governs how (and whether) whatever gets uncovered actually gets said out loud to other people. Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, governs something different: an internally sovereign version of that same truth, held without needing anyone else’s agreement or applause to make it real. Not fighting the tribe out loud — quietly refusing, inside yourself, to let anyone else’s opinion decide what you privately know to be true.
Put together: this is a season for facing what you’ve been avoiding admitting to yourself, especially the taboo material — with Mars deciding whether it gets voiced, and Pluto making sure it doesn’t need anyone’s permission to be real.
Who feels this most: Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius placements.
Who feels this least: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn placements.
October 3: A Loaded Day — Venus Stations Retrograde, Mars Opposes Pluto

Two separate things land on the same day here — let’s take them one at a time.
Venus Stations Retrograde in Scorpio
A planetary station is a real astronomical event, not just a poetic turn of phrase — at the exact moment of station, a planet’s apparent motion genuinely hits zero before it reverses. Stations are traditionally read as more potent than an ordinary transit of the same planet, since that degree gets touched three separate times (direct, retrograde, direct again) rather than once.
Venus entering Scorpio, moving normally, would mean relationships getting tested out loud — a mutual, honest reckoning with someone else about where you really stand. But Venus is stationing, not simply transiting, and retrograde consistently turns a planet’s expression inward rather than muting it. So this isn’t a conversation to have with someone else yet. It’s a private one: where haven’t you been honest with yourself about a relationship? What have you been telling yourself is fine that actually isn’t?
Mars in Leo Opposes Retrograde Pluto in Aquarius
An opposition means two planets are genuinely polarized — but the work isn’t choosing a winner, it’s learning to hold both halves in awareness at once and find the balance between them. Fail that, and you oscillate: one side dominates, then the other, back and forth, accomplishing very little. Succeed, and you gain real flexibility.
Here, that means holding Mars in Leo’s full-strength, unfiltered self-expression — the insistence on putting your creation into the world — alongside Pluto retrograde in Aquarius’s private, internally sovereign truth. The question isn’t which one wins. It’s: does what I’m putting out into the world actually match what I privately believe to be true about myself? That’s not a fight. It’s the same reconciling, both-sides-at-once work Libra itself teaches — this time playing out through an aspect instead of a sign.
Who feels this most: Scorpio and Taurus placements will feel Venus’s station most directly; Leo and Aquarius placements will feel the opposition most directly, with Taurus and Scorpio picking up a real but secondary pull from that axis as well.
Who feels this least: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn placements.
October 10: New Moon in Libra

A New Moon is a seed-planting moment — inner work, a fresh start, sometimes a quiet ending. In Libra, the seed worth planting is real, lived-in peace — finding your space, finding your tribe, finding the actual things that bring you into that state, not just the idea of it. What does it look like to build a home that’s genuinely a refuge — somewhere you can walk in after a hard day and actually recharge and disconnect, rather than just a place you happen to sleep?
Libra’s ruler, Venus, is still retrograde in Scorpio, and that’s where the real work happens. Libra brings the peace and the beauty; Venus asks you to look inward at everything you’ve surrounded yourself with and actually evaluate it. Are these things truly bringing you peace, or are you keeping pretty things just to have pretty things? Are these people around you because they genuinely nourish you, or just because they’re the people you’re used to having around? Is your home somewhere you can actually find peace, or is it just a place with a bed in it? Venus retrograde asks you to sit with those questions honestly, on your own, before you decide anything out loud.
Who feels this most: Libra, Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn placements. If you’re a Libra placement, this New Moon is landing in your own sign.
Who feels this least: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius placements.
October 15: Pluto Stations Direct in Aquarius

Pluto stations direct here — as we saw before, this is a charged day for Pluto. But this time Pluto is turning direct, not retrograde, and that reverses the direction of the work. Retrograde asked you to hold a truth privately, without anyone’s permission or applause to make it real. Direct motion asks you to actually start living it.
Pluto has been retrograde in Aquarius since early May — nearly five months. Pluto’s work in Aquarius is about breaking free from the grip of social conditioning: learning to recognize where you’ve quietly absorbed someone else’s version of who you’re supposed to be, even from people who mean well, and trusting that you alone actually know where your own path leads. So the real question here is: in these last five months, what have you noticed that society has told you to be, that doesn’t actually line up with your own truth? What have you uncovered about yourself? What have you been able to work through? What deep, dark secrets have you finally faced, the private, sovereign ones you didn’t need anyone else to agree with?
Retrogrades tend to work this way — something concrete probably showed up in your life over these months that forced this into the open, whether or not you actually chose to deal with it when it did. Now it’s time to take the outcome of that work and put it out into the world — into your actual life.
Aquarius has two rulers here, and both are active. Uranus, currently in Gemini, sharpens the same question Pluto’s been asking all along: what’s actually your truth, and what’s a truth that was simply handed to you? Gemini’s whole nature is perception and witnessing — gathering every angle, refusing to settle for the first easy version of a story. Now that Pluto’s stationing direct, this becomes practical: as you move forward, how do you actually pick apart which beliefs resonate with your inner truth and which ones don’t? If you’ve done that work, this discernment comes easily. If you haven’t, it tends to show up as pure argumentativeness — treating every point, every conversation, as something to fight about, whether or not it actually matters.
Saturn, meanwhile, is sitting in Aries — and Aries doesn’t want structure, it wants to charge. That friction is the point. This placement is about overcoming fear — not just the fear of looking into your own dark places, which is Pluto’s job, but the fear of actually doing something with what you found, of risking failure and not quitting the moment it gets hard. If you did the inner work during these last five months, Saturn in Aries is a genuine ally: it gives you the discipline to put that work out into the world and keep choosing it, again and again, instead of a single burst of bravery you talk yourself out of tomorrow. If you didn’t — if you pushed it aside and ignored it — this transit tends to feel like fighting every battle at once instead of strategically choosing which ones are actually worth fighting.
What this means: during the retrograde, you’ve learned some truths about yourself that maybe contradicted the things you were told to be, or what society reflected back at you as true — and you’ve realized your truth is different than those reflections. Now that everything’s moving direct, Uranus in Gemini asks you to keep that compass you’ve built for yourself close at hand, so you don’t fall back into that same trap. And Saturn in Aries asks you to commit to yourself — to protect what you actually believe, and to build your life around belief systems that are genuinely yours. Make sure everything passes your own truth test before you accept it. Don’t just take it on because someone told you to, or because society says so.
Who feels this most: Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio placements.
Who feels this least: Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn placements.
October 15: Sun Sextiles Jupiter

This one has a window, not just a single day — expect it strongest about five days on either side of the 15th, so realistically you’re looking at October 10th through October 20th.
Jupiter has been moving through Leo since June, and Leo’s whole flavor is spontaneity — putting yourself out there, self-expression, a genuine appetite for a good time. A sextile is an easy aspect, an opportunity rather than a challenge, and here it’s an especially charged one: Leo’s ruling planet is the Sun, and the Sun is the very planet reaching out to touch Jupiter in a sextile. That’s the sign talking directly to its own ruler, which makes the whole thing extra excitable — real, legitimate party energy, an easy pull away from Libra’s careful balancing act and into full self-expression.
But look at where that Sun is sitting: Libra, ruled by Venus, and Venus is still retrograde in Scorpio. That’s the same quiet, internal reckoning we’ve been tracking all season — sitting with the honest, sometimes uncomfortable question of where you actually stand in your relationships, what you’re putting out, what you’re getting back. When the Sun in Libra lights up with Jupiter’s Leo excitement, it’s easy to let that good time paper over the work Venus is still quietly doing underneath it. The pull here isn’t toward anything harmful — it’s toward distraction. Enjoy the excitement this day brings, but don’t let it become the reason you skip the harder, more honest conversation you’ve been having with yourself.
Who feels this most: Libra placements most directly, since this is happening in your own sign — plus Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn (the rest of the cardinal group) and Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, and Aquarius (the fixed group, since this is also Jupiter’s own season in Leo) picking up a real, secondary pull.
Who feels this least: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces placements — the mutable signs, which sit outside both of the modalities this aspect is activating.

Working With Libra Season
Weigh yourself in, not just everyone else. Before agreeing to keep the peace on something, ask what it’s costing you specifically, not just whether it keeps things smooth.
Give your environment a real job. This isn’t about tidying up — it’s using sound, scent, and space deliberately as a nervous-system tool this season, not just an aesthetic one. (Sound Healing Therapy: A Reset for Your Nervous System is a good place to start.)
Let the Full Moon in Aries name one thing you’ve been avoiding, without demanding you fix it immediately. Naming it is the Scorpio work later in the season; Aries just asks you to stop pretending it isn’t there.
Keep Venus’s station private until it’s ready to be shared. The relationship honesty this season asks for starts with you, alone, before it becomes a conversation with anyone else.
Notice when you’re oscillating instead of reconciling. If you catch yourself swinging between “I need to be seen” and “I need to stay private,” that’s the October 3rd opposition asking to be held, not resolved by picking one side.
