July Witches' Roundtable: Rose Water

place The Wyld Academy expand_more
Organized by arrow_forward_ios Raven Runyan, The Wyld Witch

What happens at a Witches' Roundtable?

A Witches' roundtable is a safe and sacred space for witches to come together, use their voices, be heard, and be seen. This event is a Witchy take on a traditional Women's Circle; however, this one is open to all men and women! These affirming community gatherings help you connect your inner strength and boost their positive vibrations. With politics dividing us daily, we need community more than ever!

This will be a monthly event via webinar, and dates will vary so we can make the most of the energies the Universe offers us!

- Bring your compassion and desire to support your fellow witches in the community!
- This is the perfect event to connect and empower others!
- You can join from the comfort of your own home!!
- we will break down each session into two parts - the roundtable and then a second activity based on the energies and theme for the month.

July Roundtable: Rose Water

“The sun shall always rise upon a new day and there shall always be a rose garden within me. Yes, there is a part of me that is broken, but my broken soil gives way to my wild roses.” – C. JoyBell C.

We have been working on finding our own authenticity, finding our power, and embracing our strengths.  This is good work and excellent for the summer! Learning to love and be kind to ourselves is a big part of making this happen.  This can be difficult as many of us carry shadows from events in our lives that have made us feel that maybe we are not worthy of love.

If love were a flower, it would be a rose.  Roses aid in our connection with the Divine Feminine as well as universal love.  Roses remind us of compassion, kindness, and nurturing.  It tells us to accept all of who we are - thorns and all - because we are ultimately beautiful, special, and worthy regardless of what lies beneath the leaves.  This month we will have a little longer session, and we will create our own rose water in the ceremony, which we can use later for our personal healing journey.

Tools Needed:

  • Cleansing supplies to cleanse your space - whatever feels right to you.
  • 1 Candle: Pink or White
  • Anointing oil (choose one): Rose, healing, love, or elemental water
  • Incense (choose one): Rose, elemental water, healing, love, compassion, kindness.
  • You will need something to create the water on your altar.  A few things that work well are Potpourri pots, small fondue pots, or even in a pinch, an aromatherapy oil warmer with a larger enough bowl.
  • A Heat source of some kind.  Either a candle if you are using a potpourri pot or simmer pot or an outlet if yours plugs in.  The water will need to boil and simmer, so be sure your electric simmer pot is capable of that =)
  • Rose petals - these can be fresh or dried.  Ensure you have enough to cover at least half of your bowl (dried) or 3/4 of your bowl (fresh).
  • Spring or distilled water - distilled is best if you can get it.
  • Unflavored Vodka or White rum will stabilize the water and keep it from going bad or growing bacteria (Rum is my personal choice). You can add rubbing alcohol instead if prefer not to work with spirits. Just remember you cannot take it internally if you add rubbing alcohol.
  • A cotton cloth (or cheesecloth) to strain the water once it is done.
  • A bowl to strain the water in.
  • A container to store your rose water as well as a label.
  • Your Book of Shadows
  • Paper, pen, and any decorations you may want to add to your BoS.

NOTE: Please check this list BEFORE the ceremony and message me or post here in reply to your questions.  I cannot answer questions in the 30 minutes before the event!
