Batching in Advance
Your future self will thank you for making a batch of these essentials in advance. All you will have to do is take the portion you need out of the freezer and let it defrost.
- Rice or any grain
- Beans: If they were cooked from dried.
- Non-seasoned Meat: You can add the seasonings when you defrost it. No seasoning gives you more wiggle room. Need it for spaghetti, well you’re not married to a taco seasoned beef in the freezer.
- Sauce: Try this with your favorite sauces in an icecube tray! For example, I like to freeze pesto because it can e used for sauces, filling, and dressing.
